Yew Tree Farm Barn - Lower Road

Now much altered for domestic use, the large, late 17th century, barn to the north east of Yew Tree Farmhouse, originally had timber-framing with weatherboard cladding on an English garden wall bond brick plinth.

The large thatched roof, as shown in the watercolour painting, was replaced with corrugated asbestos towards the end of its agricultural life.

It is said that one of the five bays was used to house the farm's shire horse.
